Guru’s Dream by Alex Jeffreys - Review
Hi! If you're new here, you might want to register for free email updates. Just use the form at the top of the sidebar. Thanks for visiting The Lucid Blog!
Alex Jeffreys never struck me as someone who would be happy just following the crowd.
Even so, the release of his new report, “Guru’s Dream” could prove to be something more than just a step out of the mainsteam.
It would be nice to think that Guru’s Dream will be a defining moment for the internet marketing industry. It won’t, but it may well be a defining moment for Alex Jeffreys himself and, if nothing else, don’t be surprised to see it make some ripples.
Because - and it’s not often you get to see this in the IM world - Guru’s Dream does something that has rarely, if ever, been done before.
The first clue that this is something out of the ordinary, is the lack of an opt-in form.
That’s right, there’s NO mechanism for entering your name and email address, and this internet marketing staple is simply absent.
To download Guru’s Dream, all you have to do is click on the download link and… it downloads.
Of course, even the most casual cynic, will begin by flicking to the end of the report to see what Alex is selling. I mean, come on, how many times have we seen reports claiming to debunk this, reveal that, uncover the truth about internet marketing… followed by a 30 page pitch for an exclusive seminar.
But not this time.
Guru’s Dream conspicuously fails to pitch any new products, books or events. After checking through the report a second time, I can confirm that there aren’t even any affiliate links. The ONLY indication that there is a business behind this report (aside from the content) is the occasional link to Alex’s blog and one or two of his previous websites.
Which may explain why compartively few IMers have been promoting it.
Without a product to pitch, there is no affiliate program. And with no affiliate program, the only incentive left to tell others about it, is the quality of the material.
And when you consider that some of the material in Guru’s Dream may just be a little too close to the bone for some IM celebrities to bear, it’s hardly surprising if you’ve yet to hear about this.
So, for the record, I’m telling you about this because:
a) Guru’s Dream has something important to say, that should be shared and passed round to every new, old, successful and aspiring internet entrepreneur in existence.
b) It’s thoroughly entertaining.
What Alex lacks in literary flair, he more than makes up for in fluidity and clarity of thought. The 83 pages zip by at an impressive rate and only the most jaded marketer could fail to be moved by what’s inside.
If you genuinely care about what your online business is creating, and the value - or lack therof - that it is adding to the internet marketing industry, then you MUST, go and read this report ASAP.
If your online business has been treading water for so long you’re starting to go wrinkly, you MUST, go and read this report ASAP.
If the persistent argument that you shouldn’t be re-inventing the wheel (try telling that to the GB Olympic cycling team) never sat comfortably with you, you MUST, go and read this report ASAP.
I’m going to record the 2-3 stand-out points (or at least my interpretation of them) from Guru’s Dream that resonated with me, but I don’t want to ruin the experience of reading this for yourself. So, before you read on, please click below, download the report, and read it through before continuing.

1) The “4-Hour Work Week” is a book that every online marketer should read. If you STILL haven’t got around to it, promise me you’ll do so very soon (www.fourhourworkweek.com)
2) An entrepreneur cannot be satisfied with following someone else’s business plan precisely. By definition, they will want to expand, innovate and break new ground.
3) I think Rich Schefren said it best in his most recent report. Paraphrasing, he said that if you cannot describe your business in terms of a system, then it’s not a business.
4) If you don’t use hype you won’t sell much. If you use hype, then most of your customers are unsuited to running an online business.
Some of the ‘truths’ that Alex writes about are not news to me, but there’s something encouraging about seeing them down in writing.
I’ll be watching with interest to see what Alex does next, and I very much doubt I’ll be the only one.

Hi, I too am one of Alex Jrffreys students in his epic adventure mentoring course, its really terrific and, as you may expect we are being over delivers to by Alex in his own individual and very energetic style.
Trouble is, if you need to be that energetic to get on in the business i’m screwed! never get enthusiastic about anything really, that’s my nature, mind you never won the lottery yet but guess I would get excited about that…………tonight may be the night? ever seen flying pigs?
