Part 2 in a series of videos featuring Internet Marketer David Congreave and his assistant Beth Rudkin.

To ask David and Beth a question on Internet Marketing, send an email to video@davidcongreave.com

DAVID
Hi. I’m David Congreave and this is my assistant, Bethany Rudkin.

BETHANY
Did you say sister or assistant?

DAVID
You’re both, why does it matter?

BETHANY
Because the viewers need to know.

DAVID
Why?

BETHANY
Because, um…

DAVID
Hi. I’m David Congreave and this is my ASSISTANT, Bethany Rudkin.

BETHANY strums a chord and opens her mouth to sing.

DAVID
Not yet Beth, you can do your song in a moment, first we’re going to talk about article marketing.

BETHANY
Sure, cos that’ll be MUCH more interesting.

DAVID
So we’ve been using articles to get more links to our website and to attract traffic from the article directories. A lot of people think that article marketing is difficult because of the length of time it takes to do, but there are some really good short-cuts if you know how.

BETHANY
Pay someone else to write the articles, use software to distribute the articles. Well done, David, you’re a genius. Can I do my song now?

DAVID
In a minute. It’s not quite as simple as all that. You still need to know how to get articles that are of a decent quality and you also need to know which article software is worth well.

BETHANY
OK – how do you get good quality articles?

DAVID
To get the best out of a ghost writer, give them a good title and a couple of bullet points to work from. This ensures that you get an article with a clear message or teaching point, rather than a generic spin of whatever’s on Wikipedia. So, for example, instead of asking for an article about cats, ask for an article about techniques for brushing your cat.

BETHANY
Why would you want an article about brushing a cat? You just, you know (mimes brushing a cat).

DAVID
It’s just an example. Anyway, once you get the article back, take ten minutes to polish the article and your own personal touch. So you get an original, good quality article in only a fraction of the time it would take you to research and write the article yourself, from scratch. The next step is to distribute the article to as many different article sites as possible.

BETHANY
And for this we use SubmitYourArticle?

DAVID
That’s right. In fact, you’re the one that’s been using the software, so why don’t you tell the viewers about it?

BETHANY
It’s very good. You have to spend a little time in the beginning setting up passwords, etc, but once that’s done it’s very easy to upload new articles. I particularly like the scheduling option, so I can upload four articles in one go and set them to be released at the rate of, say, one per week, for four weeks. That way, it’s a once a month job instead of having to do it every week.

DAVID
Good.

BETHANY
Awesome – well I think we’ve sufficiently exhausted that subject. Can I do my song now before people get bored and click away?

DAVID
Fine. Go ahead.

BETHANY
What’s wrong with my guitar?

DAVID
No idea.

Watch the first episode below…

www.TheLucidClub.com

Part 1 in a series of videos featuring Internet Marketer David Congreave and Beth Rudkin, his assistant. Sorry, I mean PA.

To ask David and Beth a question, send an email to video@davidcongreave.com

DAVID
Hi. I’m David Congreave and this is my assistant, Bethany Rudkin.

BETHANY
You mean P.A.?

DAVID
What?

BETHANY
I’m your P.A.

DAVID
That’s what I said.

BETHANY
No, you said assistant. But my job title is P.A.

DAVID
And what does the A in P.A. stand for?

BETHANY (confused)
Erm…

DAVID
Anyway, since you’ve started you’ve been learning lots about the Internet Marketing industry. Why don’t you tell the viewers what you’ve learned this week?

BETHANY
Ooh yes, I learned that if you put garlic on every other row, then the zombies are all herded into just two rows making it easier…

DAVID
I was thinking more to do with your work.

BETHANY
Oh. Well, yes… you take two sugars in coffee, but only one in tea.

BETHANY
I learned how to use TubeMogul.com. It lets you distribute videos to YouTube and lots of other websites, very easily, and it’s totally free to use.

DAVID
That sounds great. Distributing videos is good for search engine optimization and it can help to drive traffic to our websites. But aren’t videos difficult and time-consuming to produce?

BETHANY
Not necessarily. Animoto.com lets you create short music videos and it’s so easy it only takes 5-10 minutes to create something really nice.

DAVID
Excellent.

BETHANY
Oh, erm… I’m really enjoying learning about Internet Marketing. You’re a great preacher.

DAVID
Teacher.

BETHANY
Yes, teacher.

DAVID
Great. Well I’m sure our viewers will look forward to finding out what else you’ve learned next week. So… let’s get back to work shall we?

BETHANY
OK. So it’s two sugars in coffee?

DAVID (interrupting)
One sugar.

BETHANY
Oh, one sugar, and in tea..?

DAVID
I don’t drink tea.

BETHANY
Okay. Got it.

Animoto: Music Videos in 5 Minutes

03 Mar

Someone recently put me on to Animoto.com. It’s been around since mid-August 2007 but it’s somehow managed to pass me by until now.

Animoto is probably better demonstrated than explained; its WOW factor comes from the ability to make a sleek, professional-looking music video, in about five minutes. Ten minutes if you want something extra special.

Are We Just Full Of It?

Even if you’re NOT a cynic, the thought has to cross your mind occasionally.

When Guru A recommends visiting Guru B to see the most awesome offer ever, that is even more awesome than the awesome thing that Guru X was pitching last week… you’ve got to wonder…

Is he just full of it?

If it wasn’t for the complimentary review copy and the promise of a tasty commission, would he be quite so enthusiastic?

So before we start gushing let us clue you into a really good indication that this is absolutely, positively a GENUINE recommendation that we whole-heartedly believe in: Read the rest of this entry »

Coup de Twitter: How To Be A Twinja

19 Oct

The way Harris Fellman tells it, he used to think Twitter was a fad, a waste of time. He ignored it for nearly two years.

Then he realized what Twitter really is—List Building 2.0.

When you think about it, building your list of targeted Twitter followers is simply another form of list building. It’s not a typical email list, but it has most of the same benefits. That’s where Harris learned a valuable lesson from his marketing friends. Read the rest of this entry »
