Video #2 – The Unspoken Secret

26 Jun

Hi! If you're new here, you might want to register for free email updates. Just use the form at the top of the sidebar. Thanks for visiting The Lucid Blog!

Yes, I’m aware that the name of this post sounds like the title of a trashy novel, but don’t let the name fool you – Video #2 of my series on affiliate marketing (you can catch-up with the first video here) is much more valuable.

OK, so I’m not doing a great job of talking it up, but if the information in this video is new to you (and I rarely hear anyone talking about it, so there’s good chance it will be) then you’re going to be left with a substantial bone to chew over.

Trashy novels and bone-chewing?  It must be a Friday…

Please note, these videos are free to watch, but they will only remain online for a short period of time.

If you have questions or comments about this video, please post them below, and I’ll be happy to respond.

    Wow …
You really did tell the unspoken secret on this one David!!!!

I often wondered how come this is never talked about when guru’s boast of their list size – and yet still need so many JV partners on every major launch….lol

    Great video
(if you’re on this page and you’ve not watched it and you’re reading this – you should go watch it… seriously!)

    Cheers David

So basic isn’t it, yet it had to be said! – Well Done David.

Randy certainly makes a very valid point about the “Guru Monster Lists” – they have to be pretty current to be worth anything really (a lot ARE of course but some must contain a lot of dead wood).
I can see that it should pay in the long run to make sure one has several lists – ie, start a new one with every project, even if it closely resembles a previous list topic.

Thanks for the reminder about Paul Myers David, he’d slipped off my radar. I always get Martin’s Kickstart, but even his had begun to slip down the “OPENED” chart!! Just a coincidence I’m sure but I read three of his Newsletters this morning to catch up a bit.

Relevant to your thread – I have been working my way through my EMails and unsubscribing from those that do nothing but pump out offer after offer without giving much value on the way. It’s amazing how many times I have to unsubscribe to remove one person’s correspondence – because they must at least be using the “New List Every Time” principle. I ended up cancelling off over 6 lists with Tellman and Shawn Casey just to reduce it to the one I wanted.

    Thanks for the feedback peeps.

Peter – how to build a list in the first place is a little off-topic for this series, but I will be reviewing a new list-building tool very soon, so stay tuned :-)

Very valid point about the endless promotions David.
You can delete the email without opening as the Subject line gives it away.
I have been on Paul Myers list for sometime and agree with your comments entirely.
I was not familiar with Martin Avis but will sign up to his list and hope for a breath of fresh air.
